Job Description

Design, implement and manage websites using WordPress. The right candidate has knowledge, understanding, and experience in both front-end and back-end development — everything from theme implementations, plug-ins to security updates. The candidate will establish and guide website architecture, so sites are attractive and user-friendly on the various current popular devices. The candidate is responsible for WordPress training to clients as needed to allow them to make minor adjustments as well as troubleshooting and resolving website problems for clients and co-workers. The right candidate is eager to learn new technologies and techniques on a daily basis.

English language is mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Present website options, proposals, and pricing to potential clients
  • Design, implement and manage websites using WordPress
  • Collaborate with members of a creative team
  • Manage front-end and back-end website development
  • Create and /or implement WordPress plug-ins and themes
  • Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website problems for clients and co-workers
  • Stay abreast of new developments in software, trends, and practices
  • Ensuring high performance and availability
  • Properly document all tasks into a ticketing system
  • Updating internal and external knowledge base as appropriate
  • Achieving tasks within expected time frames
  • Present projects to CEO using graphics, powerpoints, and appropriate language
  • Education and Background
  • This position requires an associate or higher preferably in computer programming, computer science, computer networking, and information technology or a related field.
  • The right candidate who has been through a considerable workforce development program specific to WordPress or web development will also be considered.

Skills and Competencies required

  • Proficiency using WordPres
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Experience using debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome Inspector
  • Experience with SSL certificate implementation
  • Experience with Cpanel
  • Strong understanding of front-end and back-end website development
  • SEO Knowledge
